Anti-RRP17 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the RRP17 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the RASL10B gene, which encodes RAS like family 10 member B. This protein is believed to facilitate the release of atrial natriuretic peptide by cardiomyocytes and hence play a role in the regulation of arterial pressure. The human version of RRP17 has a canonical amino acid length of 203 residues and a protein mass of 23.2 kilodaltons. It is reported to be localized in the cell membrane of cells and notably expressed in the skeletal muscle, pancreas, and heart muscle. RRP17 is a member of the Ras protein family.
