Anti-TARG1 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target TARG1 is a known alias name of the protein O-acyl-ADP-ribose deacylase 1, encoded by the OARD1 gene in humans. This 152-amino acid residue protein is reported to be an ADP-ribose glycohydrolase that hydrolyzes ADP-ribose and acts on different substrates, such as proteins ADP-ribosylated on glutamate and O-acetyl-ADP-D-ribose. It is localized to the nucleus of the cell. In terms of tissue expression, it is ubiquitously expressed across many tissue types.
