Anti-TAR4 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target TAR4 is a known alias name of the protein trace amine associated receptor 6, encoded by the TAAR6 gene in humans. This 345-amino acid residue protein is categorized as a type of orphan receptor. It is localized to the cell membrane of the cell and features glycosylated post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is reported to be expressed at low abundance in various brain tissues, as well as in fetal liver, but not in the cerebellum or placenta.
