Anti-SPG3 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target SPG3 is a known alias name of the protein atlastin GTPase 1, encoded by the ATL1 gene in humans. This 558-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in neuronal development and protein oligomerization, among other biological processes. It is localized to the ER and Golgi of the cell. In terms of tissue expression, it is reported to be highly expressed in the adult and fetal central nervous system. Other synonyms for SPG3 include AD-FSP, FSP1, and GBP3. Western Blot is the most common application for the SPG3 antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
