Anti-SOSS-B2 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the SOSS-B2 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the SSBP2 gene, which encodes single stranded DNA binding protein 2. This protein is known to function in the regulation of transcription, among other biological roles. The human version of SOSS-B2 has a canonical amino acid length of 361 residues and a protein mass of 37.8 kilodaltons, although 5 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the nucleus of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types.
