Anti-TMEM236 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein transmembrane protein 236. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 351 amino acid residues and a mass of 39.7 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the membrane. It is notably expressed in the rectum, duodenum, colon, appendix, and adrenal gland. It is a member of the TMEM236 protein family. Post-translational modifications have been described, including glycosylation. Synonyms for this target antigen include family with sequence similarity 23, member A and family with sequence similarity 23, member B. TMEM236 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine and chimpanzee species. Western Blot is the most common application for the TMEM236 antibodies listed below. Immunocytochemistry and Immunofluorescence are also common applications.
