Anti-Solt antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the Solt antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the CENPK gene, which encodes centromere protein K. This protein is a known component of the CENPA-CAD (nucleosome distal) complex, a complex recruited to centromeres which is involved in assembly of kinetochore proteins, mitotic progression and chromosome segregation. The human version of Solt has a canonical amino acid length of 269 residues and a protein mass of 31.7 kilodaltons. It is reported to be localized in the nucleus of cells. Solt is a member of the CENP-K/MCM22 protein family. Indicated applications for Solt antibodies listed below include ELISA, Western Blot, and Immunohistochemistry.
