Anti-SkM1 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target SkM1 is a known alias name of the protein sodium voltage-gated channel alpha subunit 4, encoded by the SCN4A gene in humans. This 1836-amino acid residue protein is reported to be a pore-forming subunit of a voltage-gated sodium channel complex through which Na(+) ions pass in accordance with their electrochemical gradient. It is localized to the cell membrane of the cell and features phosphorylated and glycosylated post-translational modifications. Other synonyms for SkM1 include CMS16, CMYP22A, and HOKPP2. Indicated applications for SkM1 antibodies listed below include ELISA and Western Blot.
