Anti-Rock-I antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target Rock-I is a known alias name of the protein Rho associated coiled-coil containing protein kinase 1, encoded by the ROCK1 gene in humans. This 1354-amino acid residue protein is reported to be a protein kinase, which is a key regulator of the actin cytoskeleton and cell polarity. It is localized to the cytoplasm of the cell and features cleaved and phosphorylated post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is notably expressed in blood platelets. Other synonyms for Rock-I include P160ROCK and ROCK-I. Western Blot is the most common application for the Rock-I antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
