Anti-RHPI antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target RHPI is a known alias name of the protein Rh blood group CcEe antigens, encoded by the RHCE gene in humans. This 417-amino acid residue protein is believed to be part of an oligomeric complex which is likely to have a transport or channel function in the erythrocyte membrane. It is localized to the membrane of the cell. It is reported to be expressed in the bone marrow.
