Anti-PKL antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target PKL is a known alias name of the protein pyruvate kinase L/R, encoded by the PKLR gene in humans. This 574-amino acid residue protein is reported to be a pyruvate kinase that catalyzes the conversion of phosphoenolpyruvate to pyruvate with the synthesis of ATP, and which plays a key role in glycolysis. It is reported to be expressed in the small intestine, liver, kidney, duodenum, and bone marrow. Other synonyms for PKL include PK1 and PKRL. Western Blot is the most common application for the PKL antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
