Anti-MCM21R antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the MCM21R antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the CENPO gene, which encodes centromere protein O. This protein is a known component of the CENPA-CAD (nucleosome distal) complex, a complex recruited to centromeres which is involved in assembly of kinetochore proteins, mitotic progression and chromosome segregation. The human version of MCM21R has a canonical amino acid length of 300 residues and a protein mass of 33.8 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the nucleus of cells. MCM21R is a member of the CENP-O/MCM21 protein family. Indicated applications for MCM21R antibodies listed below include ELISA, Western Blot, and Immunohistochemistry.
