Anti-Rec8p antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the Rec8p antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the REC8 gene, which encodes REC8 meiotic recombination protein. This protein is known to function in DNA repair, among other biological roles. The human version of Rec8p has a canonical amino acid length of 547 residues and a protein mass of 62.6 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the nucleus of cells and notably expressed in many tissues, such as the bronchus and fallopian tube. Other names for this target antigen include HR21spB and REC8L1. Indicated applications for Rec8p antibodies listed below include ELISA and Western Blot.
