Anti-MP70 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the MP70 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the TM9SF1 gene, which encodes transmembrane 9 superfamily member 1. This protein is known to function in autophagy pathways, among other biological roles. The human version of MP70 has a canonical amino acid length of 606 residues and a protein mass of 68.9 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the cytoplasmic vesicles and lysosomes of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. MP70 is a member of the Nonaspanin (TM9SF) (TC 9.A.2) protein family.
