Anti-PTD001 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target PTD001 is a known alias name of the protein eukaryotic translation initiation factor 3 subunit K, encoded by the EIF3K gene in humans. This 218-amino acid residue protein is a known component of the eukaryotic translation initiation factor 3 (eIF-3) complex, which is required for several steps in the initiation of protein synthesis. It is localized to the nucleus and cytoplasm of the cell. In terms of tissue expression, it is found to be widely expressed, with the highest levels of expression in the brain, testis and kidney. Other synonyms for PTD001 include ARG134, EIF3-p28, and EIF3S12.
