Anti-O-Fuc-T antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the O-Fuc-T antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the POFUT1 gene, which encodes protein O-fucosyltransferase 1. This protein is known to function in angiogenesis and cardiac tissue development, among other biological roles. The human version of O-Fuc-T has a canonical amino acid length of 388 residues and a protein mass of 44 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the ER of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. Other names for this target antigen include DDD2, FUT12, and O-FUT. Indicated applications for O-Fuc-T antibodies listed below include ELISA, Western Blot, Immunocytochemistry, Immunofluorescence, Immunoprecipitation, and Immunohistochemistry.
