Anti-PMI1 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target PMI1 is a known alias name of the protein mannose phosphate isomerase, encoded by the MPI gene in humans. This 423-amino acid residue protein is reported to be involved in synthesis of the GDP-mannose and dolichol-phosphate-mannose required for a number of critical mannosyl transfer reactions. It is localized to the cytoplasm of the cell. In terms of tissue expression, it is reported to be expressed in all tissues, but more abundant in the heart, brain and skeletal muscle. Indicated applications for PMI1 antibodies listed below include ELISA, Western Blot, and Immunohistochemistry.
