Anti-Mrt1 antibodies are protein reagents that detect specific antigens. The Mrt1 antigen is another term for the human protein serine protease 12, encoded by the PRSS12 gene. The protein is reported to play a role in neuronal plasticity and the proteolytic action may subserve structural reorganizations associated with learning and memory operations. Canonically, it has an amino acid length of 875 residues and a mass of 97.1 kilodaltons. It is a secreted protein. The Mrt1 protein is a member of the Peptidase S1 protein family.
