Anti-NAAGS antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target NAAGS is a known alias name of the protein ribosomal modification protein rimK like family member A, encoded by the RIMKLA gene in humans. This 391-amino acid residue protein is known to catalyze the synthesis of N-acetyl-L-aspartyl-L-glutamate (NAAG) and N-acetyl-L-aspartyl-L-glutamyl-L-glutamate. It is localized to the cytoplasm of the cell.
