Anti-HY antibodies are protein reagents that detect specific antigens. The HY antigen is another term for the human protein lysine demethylase 5D, encoded by the KDM5D gene. The protein is reported to be a histone demethylase that specifically demethylates 'Lys-4' of histone H3, thereby playing a central role in histone code. Canonically, it has an amino acid length of 1539 residues and a mass of 174.1 kilodaltons. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus. The HY protein is a member of the JARID1 histone demethylase protein family. Other alias names for HY include HYA and JARID1D. Indicated applications for HY antibodies listed below include Western Blot.
