Anti-G-ALPHA-q antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target G-ALPHA-q is a known alias name of the protein G protein subunit alpha q, encoded by the GNAQ gene in humans. This 359-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in GPCR signaling pathways and protein stabilization, among other biological processes. It is localized to the nucleus, Golgi, and cell membrane of the cell and features palmitoylated post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is reported to be highly expressed in the ovary, prostate, testis and colon. Indicated applications for G-ALPHA-q antibodies listed below include ELISA, Western Blot, Immunoprecipitation, and Immunohistochemistry.
