Anti-LYP antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the LYP antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the PTPN22 gene, which encodes protein tyrosine phosphatase non-receptor type 22. This protein is known to function in autophagy pathways and the metabolism of lipids, among other biological roles. The human version of LYP has a canonical amino acid length of 807 residues and a protein mass of 91.7 kilodaltons, although 6 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the cytoplasm of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. LYP is a member of the Protein-tyrosine phosphatase protein family. Indicated applications for LYP antibodies listed below include ELISA, Western Blot, and Immunohistochemistry.
