Anti-JAMP antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the JAMP antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the JKAMP gene, which encodes JNK1/MAPK8 associated membrane protein. This protein is believed to be a regulator of the duration of MAPK8 activity in response to various stress stimuli. The human version of JAMP has a canonical amino acid length of 311 residues and a protein mass of 35.2 kilodaltons, although 4 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the ER of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types.
