Anti-DESI2 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein desumoylating isopeptidase 2. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 194 amino acid residues and a mass of 21.4 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasm. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. A member of the DeSI protein family, DESI2 is known to have deubiquitinating activity towards 'Lys-48'- and 'Lys-63'-linked polyubiquitin chains. Synonyms for this target antigen include CGI-146, DESI, DESI1, FAM152A, PNAS-4, PPPDE1, deubiquitinase DESI2, and C1orf121. DESI2 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. A number of DESI2 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. In addition, ELISA is also a common application.
