Anti-JNK-55 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the JNK-55 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the MAPK9 gene, which encodes mitogen-activated protein kinase 9. This protein is known to function in the apoptotic pathway and peptidyl-serine phosphorylation, among other biological roles. The human version of JNK-55 has a canonical amino acid length of 424 residues and a protein mass of 48.1 kilodaltons, although 5 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the nucleus and cytoplasm of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. This target antigen may also be known as JNK2. Western Blot is the most common application for the JNK-55 antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
