Anti-ITI-HC1 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target ITI-HC1 is a known alias name of the protein inter-alpha-trypsin inhibitor heavy chain 1, encoded by the ITIH1 gene in humans. This 911-amino acid residue protein is believed to act as a carrier of hyaluronan in serum or as a binding protein between hyaluronan and other matrix protein, including those on cell surfaces in tissues to regulate the localization, synthesis and degradation of hyaluronan which are essential to cells undergoing biological processes; Contains a potential peptide which could stimulate a broad spectrum of phagocytotic cells. The protein is secreted and features cleaved and glycosylated post-translational modifications. It is reported to be expressed in the testis. Other synonyms for ITI-HC1 include H1P, IATIH, and IGHEP1. Indicated applications for ITI-HC1 antibodies listed below include ELISA, Flow Cytometry, Western Blot, Immunocytochemistry, and Immunohistochemistry.
