Anti-HVH8 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target HVH8 is a known alias name of the protein dual specificity phosphatase 8, encoded by the DUSP8 gene in humans. This 625-amino acid residue protein is known to have phosphatase activity with synthetic phosphatase substrates and negatively regulates mitogen-activated protein kinase activity, presumably by catalysing their dephosphorylation. It is localized to the nucleus and cytoplasm of the cell. In terms of tissue expression, it is notably expressed in the brain, heart and skeletal muscle. Other synonyms for HVH8 include C11orf81, HB5, and HVH-5. Indicated applications for HVH8 antibodies listed below include ELISA, Western Blot, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry.
