Anti-Gnefr antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the Gnefr antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the SERGEF gene, which encodes secretion regulating guanine nucleotide exchange factor. This protein is known to function in signal transduction pathways, among other biological roles. The human version of Gnefr has a canonical amino acid length of 458 residues and a protein mass of 49 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the nucleus and cytoplasm of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. Other names for this target antigen include DELGEF and deafness locus associated putative guanine nucleotide exchange factor.
