Anti-GALB antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target GALB is a known alias name of the protein alpha-N-acetylgalactosaminidase, encoded by the NAGA gene in humans. This 411-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in carbohydrate metabolism and homeostasis, among other biological processes. It is localized to the lysosomes of the cell and features glycosylated post-translational modifications. It is reported to be widely expressed in many tissue types. Other synonyms for GALB include D22S674 and Acetylgalactosaminidase, alpha-N- (alpha-galactosidase B). Indicated applications for GALB antibodies listed below include ELISA, Western Blot, Immunocytochemistry, and Immunohistochemistry.
