Anti-hTE antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target hTE is a known alias name of the protein acyl-CoA thioesterase 8, encoded by the ACOT8 gene in humans. This 319-amino acid residue protein is known to catalyze the hydrolysis of acyl-CoAs into free fatty acids and coenzyme A (CoASH), regulating their respective intracellular levels. It is localized to the peroxisomes of the cell. In terms of tissue expression, it is notably expressed in a T-cell line. Other synonyms for hTE include HNAACTE, NAP1, and PTE-1. Indicated applications for hTE antibodies listed below include ELISA, Flow Cytometry, Western Blot, Immunocytochemistry, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry.
