Anti-FDCSP antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein follicular dendritic cell secreted protein. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 85 amino acid residues and a mass of 9.7 kDa. It has been described to be a secreted protein. It is found to be highly expressed in tonsil, lymph node, and trachea; strong expression in prostate; lower expression in thyroid, stomach, and colon. Post-translational modifications have been described, including O-glycosylation. Synonyms for this target antigen include follicular dendritic cell secreted peptide and FDC secreted protein. FDCSP gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine and chimpanzee species. Some FDCSP antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Immunohistochemistry is a widely used application for these antibodies. In addition, Immunofluorescence is also a common application.
