Anti-gp67 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target gp67 is a known alias name of the protein CD33 molecule, encoded by the CD33 gene in humans. This 364-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in cell adhesion and cell to cell signaling, among other biological processes. It is localized to the cell membrane of the cell and features glycosylated and phosphorylated post-translational modifications. It is reported to be expressed in the spleen, salivary gland, lymph node, kidney, and epididymis. Other synonyms for gp67 include SIGLEC-3, SIGLEC3, and p67. A number of gp67 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Flow Cytometry are also common applications.
