Anti-HUK4 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the HUK4 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the PLD3 gene, which encodes phospholipase D family member 3. This protein is known to function in inflammatory response pathways and myotube differentiation, among other biological roles. The human version of HUK4 has a canonical amino acid length of 490 residues and a protein mass of 54.7 kilodaltons. It is reported to be localized in the Golgi, lysosomes, and ER of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. Other names for this target antigen include AD19 and HU-K4.
