Anti-HCA10 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target HCA10 is a known alias name of the protein MAGE family member D2, encoded by the MAGED2 gene in humans. This 606-amino acid residue protein is reported to regulate the expression, localization to the plasma membrane and function of the sodium chloride cotransporters SLC12A1 and SLC12A3, two key components of salt reabsorption in the distal renal tubule. In terms of tissue expression, it is widely expressed across many tissue types. Other synonyms for HCA10 include 11B6, BARTS5, and BCG-1.
