Anti-GlialCAM antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the GlialCAM antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the HEPACAM gene, which encodes hepatic and glial cell adhesion molecule. This protein is known to function in cell adhesion and the cell cycle, among other biological roles. The human version of GlialCAM has a canonical amino acid length of 416 residues and a protein mass of 46 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the cytoplasm of cells and notably expressed in the cerebral cortex. Indicated applications for GlialCAM antibodies listed below include ELISA, Western Blot, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry.
