Anti-GGC antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target GGC is a known alias name of the protein gamma-glutamylcyclotransferase, encoded by the GGCT gene in humans. This 188-amino acid residue protein is known to catalyze the formation of 5-oxoproline from gamma-glutamyl dipeptides and may play a significant role in glutathione homeostasis. It is reported to be widely expressed in many tissue types. Indicated applications for GGC antibodies listed below include ELISA, Western Blot, and Immunohistochemistry.
