Anti-Freud-1/Aki1 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the Freud-1/Aki1 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the CC2D1A gene, which encodes coiled-coil and C2 domain containing 1A. This protein is known to function in NF-kappaB signaling pathways and the regulation of transcription, among other biological roles. The human version of Freud-1/Aki1 has a canonical amino acid length of 951 residues and a protein mass of 104.1 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the nucleus and cytoplasm of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. Other names for this target antigen include Aki-1, FREUD-1, and Freud-1/Aki1.
