Anti-CFBP antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the CFBP antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the MVB12A gene, which encodes multivesicular body subunit 12A. This protein is known to function in autophagy pathways, among other biological roles. The human version of CFBP has a canonical amino acid length of 273 residues and a protein mass of 28.8 kilodaltons, although 3 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the membrane, nucleus, and cytoplasm of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. CFBP is a member of the MVB12 protein family.
