Anti-CSAP antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the CSAP antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the CCSAP gene, which encodes centriole, cilia and spindle associated protein. This protein is known to function in the cell cycle, among other biological roles. The human version of CSAP has a canonical amino acid length of 270 residues and a protein mass of 30.2 kilodaltons, although 4 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the cytoplasm of cells and notably expressed in the kidney, hippocampus, cerebral cortex, cerebellum, and caudate. CSAP is a member of the CCSAP protein family.
