Anti-CMP antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the CMP antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the MATN1 gene, which encodes matrilin 1. This protein is known to function in extracellular matrix organization and the assembly of protein complexes, among other biological roles. The human version of CMP has a canonical amino acid length of 496 residues and a protein mass of 53.7 kilodaltons. It is reported to be localized in the extracellular matrix and is secreted of cells and notably expressed in soft tissue. Indicated applications for CMP antibodies listed below include ELISA, Western Blot, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry.
