Anti-ECGP antibodies are protein reagents that detect specific antigens. The ECGP antigen is another term for the human protein heat shock protein 90 beta family member 1, encoded by the HSP90B1 gene. The protein is reported to be a molecular chaperone that functions in the processing and transport of secreted proteins (By similarity). Canonically, it has an amino acid length of 803 residues and a mass of 92.5 kilodaltons. Its subcellular localization is in the ER and it is widely expressed in many tissue types. The ECGP protein is a member of the Heat shock protein 90 protein family.
