Anti-DK1 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target DK1 is a known alias name of the protein dolichol kinase, encoded by the DOLK gene in humans. This 538-amino acid residue protein is known to catalyze CTP-mediated phosphorylation of dolichol, the terminal step in de novo dolichyl monophosphate (Dol-P) biosynthesis. It is localized to the ER of the cell. In terms of tissue expression, it is ubiquitously expressed across many tissue types.
