Anti-CAR4/6 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the CAR4/6 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the CXADR gene, which encodes CXADR Ig-like cell adhesion molecule. This protein is known to function in cytoskeleton organization and viral immune response, among other biological roles. The human version of CAR4/6 has a canonical amino acid length of 365 residues and a protein mass of 40 kilodaltons, although 7 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the cell membrane of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. Other names for this target antigen include CAR and HCAR.
