Anti-CALS-21 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the CALS-21 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the STRADB gene, which encodes STE20 related adaptor beta. This protein is known to function in the cell cycle and the regulation of apoptosis, among other biological roles. The human version of CALS-21 has a canonical amino acid length of 418 residues and a protein mass of 47 kilodaltons, although 3 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the nucleus and cytoplasm of cells and notably expressed in the liver, kidney, colon, cerebral cortex, and adrenal gland. CALS-21 is a member of the STE Ser/Thr protein kinase protein family. Western Blot is the most common application for the CALS-21 antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
