Anti-FinGER8 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the FinGER8 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the YIF1B gene, which encodes Yip1 interacting factor homolog B, membrane trafficking protein. This protein is known to function in Golgi transport, among other biological roles. The human version of FinGER8 has a canonical amino acid length of 314 residues and a protein mass of 34.4 kilodaltons, although 6 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the ER and Golgi of cells and notably expressed in many tissues, such as the appendix, testis, and adrenal gland. FinGER8 is a member of the YIF1 protein family.
