Anti-CT42 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the CT42 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the TEX15 gene, which encodes testis expressed 15, meiosis and synapsis associated. This protein is known to function in cell differentiation and DNA repair, among other biological roles. The human version of CT42 has a canonical amino acid length of 2789 residues and a protein mass of 315.3 kilodaltons. It is reported to be localized in the nucleus and cytoplasm of cells and notably expressed in the testis. CT42 is a member of the TEX15 protein family.
