Anti-CNC1 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the CNC1 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the PRKAR1A gene, which encodes protein kinase cAMP-dependent type I regulatory subunit alpha. This protein is known to function in GPCR signaling pathways and intracellular signal transduction, among other biological roles. The human version of CNC1 has a canonical amino acid length of 381 residues and a protein mass of 43 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the cell membrane of cells and notably expressed in many tissues, such as the cerebral cortex, tonsil, and adrenal gland. Other names for this target antigen include ACRDYS1, ADOHR, and CAR. Some CNC1 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. These antibodies are most commonly used in Western Blot experiments, among other applications.
