Anti-BPGAP1 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the BPGAP1 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the ARHGAP8 gene, which encodes Rho GTPase activating protein 8. This protein is known to function in GPCR signaling pathways, among other biological roles. The human version of BPGAP1 has a canonical amino acid length of 464 residues and a protein mass of 53.5 kilodaltons, although 5 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be notably expressed in the small intestine, placenta, and duodenum.
