Anti-CX25 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target CX25 is a known alias name of the protein gap junction protein beta 7, encoded by the GJB7 gene in humans. This 223-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in cell to cell signaling and transmembrane transport, among other biological processes. It is localized to the cell membrane of the cell. In terms of tissue expression, it is reported to be weakly expressed in the placenta.
