Anti-CALL antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target CALL is a known alias name of the protein cell adhesion molecule L1 like, encoded by the CHL1 gene in humans. This 1208-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in axon guidance and cell adhesion, among other biological processes. It is localized to the cell membrane of the cell and features O-glycosylated, N-glycosylated, cleaved and sulfated post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is reported to be expressed in the fetal and adult brain as well as in Schwann cell culture.
